Find and read your Sales, Fee and Menu reports in the Stats section of the dashboard, download them as CSV, and fix empty reports.

Where to find your reports

In your Sociavore dashboard, click Stats in the left menu. At the top of the page you will see three tabs:

  • Sales report — your total sales, taxes, tips, refunds and fees for a period, with charts.
  • Fee report — every order with the guest fee and external delivery fees collected on it.
  • Menu report — every order with the menu it was placed from and a full money breakdown.

Restaurants with a Stripe account also see a Payouts tab with every payout sent to your bank. Click a payout date to see the orders included in it.

All reports show the location you have selected at the top right of the dashboard. If you have several locations, switch the location to see its reports.

Pick a date range

Every report has a date field at the top. Click it and either pick a start and end day in the calendar, or choose a quick option on the left: Today, Yesterday, This Week, Last Week, This Month, Last Month, This Year or Last Year. The report updates as soon as both dates are picked.

To download a report as a CSV file (opens in Excel, Numbers or Google Sheets), click the download arrow next to the date field. The file uses the same dates you picked.

Sales report

The Sales report opens on the current week. Next to the date field there is a dropdown that sets how the table is grouped:

  • Summary — one line with the totals for the whole period.
  • Daily, Weekly or Monthly — one line per day, week or month.

Below the main chart you will find two more charts: Day of week shows which days bring in the most sales, and Time of day shows your busiest hours. Under the charts, the table splits your numbers into Sales (gross sales, discounts, net sales, taxes, delivery fees, tips, gift card sales, refunds and total sales) and Payments (total collected, fees, fee tax and net total).

Please check Sales Report and Fee Report to understand what each column in the Sales and Fee reports means.

Fee report

The Fee report opens on the current month and lists every order with its date, order number and total, plus the fees collected on it: the guest fee and its tax, and the external delivery fee, tax and tip (for deliveries sent to a delivery partner such as DoorDash Drive). The last column, Total Fee Collected, adds them up.

Fee report: one line per order with the fees collected

The Menu report lists every order with the menu it was placed from (for example Takeout, Catering or Brunch), the order type (pickup, delivery, table) and a full money breakdown: subtotal, delivery fee, discount, tax, tips, guest fee, gift card and transaction total. It is available for every restaurant and is the best report for comparing your menus.

The Menu report starts empty

When you open the Menu report, the Start date and End date fields are blank and the table says "No data". This is normal — pick a date range and your orders will appear.
Before you pick dates, the Menu report shows No data

The table is wide, so scroll it sideways to see all the columns. Extra columns appear depending on your setup — for example Deliverect channel if you use Deliverect, or Processing fee and Transferred if you take payments with Stripe. Please check Menu Report Columns to understand what each column in the Menu report means.

Reports show orders, not menu items

All Sociavore reports have one line per order (or per day, week or month). There is no report of how many of each menu item you sold. To see item sales, use Google Analytics 4: go to Reports → Monetization → Ecommerce purchases and look at the Item name column. Please check Google Analytics to understand how to connect Google Analytics 4 to your Sociavore website.

My report is empty or missing orders

  1. Check the dates. Make sure both a start and an end date are picked — the Menu report stays empty until you do.
  2. Check the location. Reports only show the location selected at the top right of the dashboard.
  3. Check if you changed payment provider. The Menu report only shows orders paid through your current payment provider. If you switched (for example from Stripe to Square), orders from before the switch will not appear in the Menu report. The Sales and Fee reports are not affected and still show those orders.

Need Menu report data from before a payment provider switch?

Email our team at support@sociavore.co with your restaurant name and the dates you need. We can prepare a CSV file of those orders for you.
