You can give your managers and staff their own login to your Sociavore dashboard, choose what they are allowed to change, and limit them to specific locations. Only Administrators can invite and manage team members.
Invite a team member
- Click your avatar in the top right corner of the dashboard and choose Location Settings.
- Open the Team tab. You'll see everyone who has access, with their role and locations.
- Click Invite at the top right.
In the Invite account manager window, enter the person's Email and Name, choose a Role, and pick the Locations they can manage. You can also tick Set temporary password to choose their first password yourself — if you don't, Sociavore creates one for them. Then click Invite.
What the team member needs to do
- Open the invitation email "You're invited to [your restaurant]". It shows their sign-in email and, for new users, a temporary password.
- Click Join [your restaurant] in the email. This step is required — your restaurant won't appear in their dashboard until they click it.
- Sign in at scvr.co with that email and the temporary password.
- After signing in, a Change Password window asks if they want to replace the temporary password. Click Yes, enter a new password twice and click Change Password.
If the person already has a Sociavore login (for example, for another restaurant), they keep their existing password — the email won't include a temporary one. After they click Join, they can switch between restaurants with the account name dropdown at the top of the dashboard.
They didn't get the email?
If they accepted the invite but still can't see the restaurant, or some pages look missing because of their role, please check Can't Access Your Dashboard? to understand how to troubleshoot access problems.
Roles
- Administrator — full access: website pages, theme, domain and Code Injection, Brand and Location Settings, the Team tab, and Account Settings (plan and billing). Give this role to owners and people you fully trust.
- Employee — day-to-day work: menus, orders, reservations, the Store, gift cards, Guestbox, website forms and reports. Employees can't edit website pages, theme or domain, and can't open Brand, Location or Account Settings or invite other people.
- Merchant manager — for food halls only. A merchant manager is linked to one merchant's Stripe account and only sees that merchant's Menu report and Payouts.
To see or change someone's role and locations later, open the menu next to their name on the Team tab and click View.
Limit access to some locations
If you have more than one location, use the Locations field to choose which ones each person can manage. The Team tab shows All when someone has access to every location.
