Events Sent to Your Pixel
Once your Pixel ID is added, your Sociavore website sends these standard events to Meta automatically. You don't need to add any code:
- PageView — every page a guest opens.
- AddToCart — a guest adds a menu item, gift card, event ticket or store product to the cart. Includes the item name and price.
- InitiateCheckout — a guest clicks Checkout in the cart. Includes the cart value and number of items.
- Purchase — a guest places an order. Includes the order value and number of items.
You can see these events in Meta Events Manager under your pixel. Use Purchase as the conversion event for your ads. If your website shows a cookie consent banner, events are only sent for guests who accept marketing cookies, so Meta may show fewer orders than your Sociavore reports.
