Sociavore Online Ordering
We’re excited to announce Sociavore Online Ordering! Built into your website, our new system enables your customers to order directly from your website, without being redirected to a third party. Add multiple menus for different occasions, limit and adjust inventory levels on the fly, set allergy and dietary notes, with loads of other customizations to match the look and feel of your website.
Why we built online ordering
Earlier this year, ordering takeout from your favourite restaurants would either involve scoping them out on UberEats, Skip The Dishes, DoorDash, or calling them ahead of time to place your order. The significant increase in takeout over the past 3 months has further exposed how unsustainable third-party apps are, and how much time and effort it takes to be on the phone all day with your customers. So many restaurants have had no option but to forfeit 30% in commission fees, yet they remain on these platforms because there simply has been no other option for running takeout and delivery.

Pickup & delivery schedules
With Online Ordering you have full control over pickup and delivery schedules. Create custom schedules for different menus (weekday dinners, weekend brunch, weekly special nights). You no longer have to rely on third parties to get your food to your customers on time.
Customize your pickup and delivery schedules in your dashboard right down to the specifics so you don’t get slammed.
We all know how hard the hospitality industry has been hit, and as a community, we want to make sure everyone is receiving the support they deserve. Tipping is essential for your staff, and your customers will likely only tip if they are prompted to. Add a tipping section on your checkout page where your guests can add a listed percentage or custom tip to their order.
Guest convenience fee
Sociavore is adding a small guest convenience fee of 3% to each of your customers’ online orders. This fee is collected from guests to enable us to dive deeper into developing technology for independent restaurants like yours. This allows you to provide your guests with an online experience that keeps them away from third-party platforms and allows us to remain bootstrapped and independent. There is no impact to you and no cost to you for this change.
